Your insurance cover includes:

Loss of or damage to your sporting gun(s) and accessories - worldwide
£5,000,000 personal liability. If you already have personal liability cover through membership of a shooting organisation such as BASC or CPSA, our cover applies over and above your membership cover.
£20,000 personal accident. This applies in addition to any other personal accident policies you may have.
£300 personal shooting effects - worldwide
Legal Helpline

1. Loss of or damage to your sporting gun(s) and accessories including shotguns, rifles and any other firearms licensed for use, range telescopes, telescopic sights and binoculars anywhere in the world. ‘New for Old’ claims settlement for any items lost or totally destroyed, provided the sum insured represents the full replacement value.
2. Personal Liability - Limit of Indemnity £5,000,000 covers you for your personal legal liabilities at any time whilst you are shooting anywhere in the world.
3. Personal Accident - Benefit of £20,000 paid in the event of accidental death or loss of one or more limbs or eyes by accident at any time whilst shooting.
4. Personal shooting effects - Covers your effects including clothing, boots and accessories up to £300 whilst shooting or whilst in the course of travelling to and from shoots. For claims settlements on wearing apparel a deduction will be made for wear, tear and depreciation.

 

The policy does not cover:

1. Theft of the property insured from unattended vehicles unless:
 
(i) secured in the locked boot of a locked saloon car
(ii) contained in the luggage space of the rear of a locked estate car or hatchback, under a top cover and out of view
(iii) under a top cover and out of view in the main body of a locked van or similar enclosed vehicle.
2. Where the total value of your insured gun(s) and ‘scopes is more than £3,000 then in the event of the theft of an insured item from your home cover will only apply if the item was in a locked security cabinet at the time of the theft.
3. Loss or damage caused by wear, tear and depreciation or any gradually operating cause.
4. Loss or damage arising from any process of testing or proofing.
5. Electrical or mechanical breakdown.
6. The process of cleaning, washing, repairing or restoring any article.
7. Confiscation or detention by Custom House or other officials.
8. Personal Accident in respect of persons aged 75 years and over. All claims arising from pre-existing disabilities will be excluded.
9. Damage to guns arising out of business or professional use, unless specifically agreed and the appropriate additional premium paid.
10. Liability arising out of business or professional use.
11. The first £25 of any claim (other than by fire) for personal shooting effects.
12. The first £40 of any claim (other than by fire or theft) for Sporting Guns and Accessories.

A policy wording will be issued on acceptance of your application.

If you ever have a complaint we cannot resolve to your satisfaction, you may refer the matter to the Financial Ombudsman Service, an independent
arbitrator, without affecting your legal rights.

The law applicable to this contract
The Insured and the Company are free to choose the law applicable to this policy. This policy is governed by English law unless the Insured and the Company have agreed otherwise.
